Stress

This week has been very stressful, not just this week but I will just stick with this week. I have had a huge test in BIO201 (which I got a 86) not the best but I feel ok about it, I was sure I got a 70. Also, we are trying to budget which always stresses us both, I have started a diet. I am overweight everyone knows it and I want to be healthy again and have kids at church stop telling me my arms are fluffy (two in the past 3 months!)Soon I will post my starting picture (which are gross) but I took them. I am excited to start a new happier healthier life I am Officially posting on here so that it is out there. Scott is contemplating applying for a different position at work the unknown is always difficult. BUT the biggest stressor of all is that in May we either have to sign another year to rent this house or we are going to buy a house. We have found a house we love and it is a bit more than we wanted to spend but we are working to see about a loan and just getting information but big decisions like this are hard.

It is my Birthday week. I have been thinking almost this entire last year that I was 27 and last month I realized hey, I am only 26! SCORE! I felt like I gained an entire year back of my twenties, awesome right? My Birthday is always my favorite day of the year, simply because it is my day and I am awesome, who wouldn't want to celebrate a day of BRIE! I am not sure what we are going to do to celebrate but you can bet it will be legen wait for it dary...legendary!

Also Savannah wrote her name for the first time on March 1, how cute right. it was on a Birthday card for her friend so I didn't get to keep it so I took a picture. Also she drew that Minnie mouse, she is talented right? I love being able to see the different stages my girls are at in writing their names.

Madison and I went and I had her pick fabric out for a mystery craft I was making for her. After a LONG time (she is so indecisive just like me) she finally picked out some fabric.  This morning I got out the fabric and started cutting and looked around to find that I had no black thread. I couldn't leave the house because Scott's car is in the body shop after a girl who had her license for two days sideswiped him while parking. He was in Little Cesar's getting pizza on Halloween. The father of the girl asked to pay it out of pocket so that his insurance didn't skyrocket. Scott agreed because he is a great man and he would hope someone would do the same thing for him when our girls are driving. Anyways so I couldn't leave my house and I was pretty upset because I need to get it done before Madison gets home. I posted on face book about it "I don't have black thread... I have never been out of black thread. I have no car and I need black thread." Within 30 minutes of posting this I had a knock on the door and it was the bishops wife, Madison's activity days leader, and my friend Chrissy.  She was dropping a paper off for Madison but had saw that I was in need and had brought me some black thread. I am so blessed to have people around me that will help with little things that aren't much but mean so much to be. 

So I finished her scripture tote and I am ready to start cleaning my house for the baptism!

Birthdays

It has been a long time I have so much to say. I have started so many blog posts I just have not finished any. We have went on three vacations, two of which were family reunions. I started Bio181 which so far I have a 94% in and we have taken 2 out of 4 of the exams! I feel so much better about myself knowing that I can take a science class and do well in it.

 My girls have all had birthdays. They are all getting older and the question of this is our whole family just sits in the back of my mind.  Savannah started the birthdays in September. Savannah is now 3 she is VERY outgoing when she is around people she knows but it shy around large groups and strangers.  She loves to terrorize our little dachshund Haley. She is such a fun little girl, but it a lot more work than the other two every were.  She is much more mischievous and I have to watch her a lot more now.

Madison was next, turning 8! She is going to be baptized on Saturday. I can not believe that she is growing so fast.  She started activity days and when I dropped her off I had to keep from crying. I am not ready to start letting her be gone more. If it was up to me I would keep her safe in my home where I know what she is doing at all times. I know that wouldn't be good for her. I have to trust that we have helped to her know what is right from wrong and she can make the right choices. She had a harder time last year in school. She was bullied a bit and did not really have friends. I worried about this a lot and prayed to know what to do to help her. This year she is in a class with her friend from church, I am so thankful that she was put in this class.

Melanie finished the birthdays off by turning 5. She will be going to school next year. I am so nervous for her. She can be VERY shy and can have a temper. She is my little Dr. Jekyll an Mr. Hyde, she is probably the sweetest snugly girl ever but if you flip that switch she can loose it faster than anyone. She is the best snuggler ever! Melanie is amazing at cleaning, when she gets started cleaning I don't have to stay on top of her she will finish the job. They all are very unique and I am so very blessed to have these amazing spirits in my home!

Surgery

It sure has been a long time since I have been on. For once there is a reason for that. I have a emergency surgery and was out of commission for awhile. I was doing so good with my exercise and eating healthy too. On a Friday in February I began to have a sharp pain that was on my right side at the bottom of my ribs. My ribs on that side were hurting so bad that I believed my ribs were completely out of place. I could hardly sleep that night so Scott messages the area on my back that was also hurting and the pain dulled a bit to were I could sleep. The next morning the pain was just as bad. It is hard to find a chiropractor on a Saturday morning. Eventually my Bro in law asked his cousin if I could go to his house to get adjusted. I went and got adjusted and the pain once again dulled a bit. He said that it can take awhile for the muscles to relax, so I went on my marry little way thinking that in a few hours I would feel better. throughout the whole day I was in slight pain and it never got to bad.

 The pain continued on until I realized maybe it was not going to go away.I went to urgent care Monday morning and they took an x-ray and blood and also set an appointment for me to get an ultrasound the next day. But that night the pain was so extremely bad that I asked Scott to take me to the E.R. His mother came over the watch the girls and we headed out. After a long time in the waiting room we were taken back and they did a long ultrasound where she pushed hard on the area causing me the most pain. By the end of the ultrasound I was in so much pain but Scott and I knew something was wrong because she spent so much time on one spot that we knew she found something and we were pretty sure we knew what it was.

we were back in our room and the Doctor came in and explained they would put me on morphine for the pain and do an emergency surgery to remove my gal bladder sometime the next day. So laying in the hospital in my room which actually was in the overflow postpartum because the hospital was so full I waited. I was in so much pain the entire day the medicine helped some of the time I either slept  or I was crying most of the day because I was in pain. I could hear sweet babies crying and saw mothers and their babies walking down the hall. I sure wish that I would have been there to have a baby instead of them cutting me up.

So eventually they took me in for a 2 hour surgery and 5 hours later I came out with four small cuts on my stomach and not gallbladder. The surgery was very difficult and they had a hard time waking me up after the surgery was over.

Healing from this surgery took longer and was harder than I ever expected. I am so thankful for all the help that I had. Scott was able to take of work for almost two weeks to take care of me. My parents helped me by taking the small girls. JVA and SLA also helping with the two littles. The wonderful women in my ward that brought me meals. I was truly blessed and loved. I am very glad that this is over and I hope I never need another surgery.

Ellipticize

So I use the phrase ellipticize when telling my hubby how I worked out on the elliptical today. So while writing this post I typed it into google and on the Merriam-Webster online I found out it is a word!ellipticize (verb) : to exercise using an elliptical machine. I am not as creative and awesome as I think coming up with a word that is already a word. But at least blogger does not recognize it!

So I started a get healthy/weight lose/feel happy journey at the beginning of the year. I am trying to make healthy food choices. I am walking at least 12,000 steps a day. I am trying to ellipticize at least 20 minutes every day at at least 6 resistance. Ours has 1-10 resistance. So  far on my journey I have only lost 6.5 lbs but it is not as much about the weight as it is about feeling better about myself and being a better example to my children.  So as I continue on this journal I have to move to an hour of ellipticizing a day, please wish me luck!

Bike ride and a hike

I also got a zoom lens for my baby (camera.) for Christmas also It is nice being able to zoom in a bit instead of just using my 35-55mm lens. Now I need a Prime lens to continue on my photography journey. I LOVE taking pictures more than anything else. I Love editing them and making something beautiful and creative. Also I got a bike for Christmas from my in laws.

Saturday was such a beautiful day and Scott was off so we decided that we should be outdoors as much as possible. So we took the bikes out.

After the bike ride we decided that it would be fun to got to The Riparian Preserve. We packed up a lunch and headed out. We went and had a picnic and then hiked around the preserve.

As I was leaving over the lake I saw this bird just sitting. This doesn't look that comfortable.

We went home after that so Nannah could take a nap and then we went for another short bike ride! It was an awesome day!

Did you know that newborn photography is hard. Well, if you didn't know you know now. It take practice but in the end is rewarding. I still need to work on my lighting but here is my new little friend. Isn't he a doll!
