Scott has worked late this week, which means that he does not have to be in to work until 12:45 pm So for this week we have went to the mall before the stores open at 10 to get our walking in. There is a group of 5 moms who power walk/jog there. Also there are a lot of older ladies and couples that get there coffee at the little coffee shop in the mall and then walk around. I never knew people did this but it is a smart way to have somewhere to walk that is not so dang hot. I love Arizona, but when trying to get in shape it is hard to get your walk on when it is 100+ outside. I think I will remember this for next year during the summer. The picture was found online but is mostly what you see while walking through the mall in the AM.
I have been wearing a pedometer and my goal is 10,000 steps a day, which is sometimes hard for a stay at home mom. My Aunt started the whole thing when she was visiting and my mom got one and I thought it was such a great idea. Then Scott's work gave one to everyone and they are having some sort of challenge to see who gets the most steps. Scott had bought a cheap one awhile back and while it was just sitting there in the teacup planter that I use for things I don't know where else to put, I decided to put it on. It is only 4 o'clock and I am currently at 11,565 steps. Not to bad and if I can keep eating healthy I hope to see an improvement in my attitude, energy, and waistline.
