Websites

There is a website that always pops up when I am searching things about the church. Today after watching a show on MTV called "engaged and underage" I decided to do a little research. The show was actually about two 19 year old that were LDS one was a convert and they were getting married in the temple. The mother of the convert was VERY upset and so after the sealing in the temple they had a ring ceremony.

When I typed "Temple marriage" into the search box on Google. The first sites were an exmormon site. I did not realize this and i clicked and began to read. I found myself crying because i realized what I was reading and these people were so bitter about the church. I have never been to a temple marriage but there is no possible way it can be as bad as they made it sound. They talk about thinking in their heads how dumb it was but telling everyone that they loved it. How strong can their testimonies be to not feel the spirit in the temple? I know that when i did baptisms for the dead I found my self crying because just in the little part of the temple I felt the spirit so strongly. I decided that From now on I am not looking on Google. I will look at lds.org and type in there searches. I found an article on antimormon literature and it helped a lot. I know that my faith is not strong enough i do not know the doctrine well enough to know that Anti writing will not let the devil weave little thoughts of doubt in my mind.

When Scott proposed to me We were sitting on the bench looking into the reflection pond. When he did this it was a promise that I felt we were making that even though we could not be married in the temple that we could be sealed. We still have not found our way there and the longer we wait the harder it seems to be getting. I know that some people just are trying to help by asking and I know that they care but we are not at the moment ready and we are getting there just give us some time.

Hello! I enjoy your blog. I just started mine and wrote about this episode of "E & U". my blogspot is friendwithcharacter.blogspot.com if you're interested. I respect you for writing about it and trying to find more information out. Those ex-mormon sites are INSANE! Anyways, I'd love to hear back from you! Have a great day!

Reading anti anything literature doesn't help anybody. Most of the people who write it are so negative that they skew any truth.

Besides, if you enter the temple and you aren't worthy, do you think the spirit would be with you? It wouldn't be a positive experience.

You'll get there when you are ready, don't let any of us rush you. Love ya

I agree with mom, NEVER READ that anti- anything crap. You will only hear the negative. its like around election time, I respect any candidate who ONLY does positive ads. most of them are all "Mr. Blah believes in KILLING BABIES but Mr. Dong doesn't, so My. Dong should get your vote" Doesn't actually tell you what Mr. Dong believes in at all does it? It doesn't even tell you what Mr. Blah thinks... its just negative.

Good Luck on staying away from Google searches, I know I find nasties that way A LOT. I love you.
